Hoyt Carbon Spyder

Well…. that didn’t take long….

Hoyt has announced a replacement to their popular top of the line bow, the Carbon Element, and is replacing it with the Carbon Spyder.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to write a review on this bow, as it is WAY out of my price range.  Bare bow, I have seen it listed at over $1600 USD.  If anyone else finds a better price, please us know.

Shooting 50 yards

Looks like my schedule at work is a little up in the air, so my days off are kinda screwy.

I had last Wednesday off, so my friend James and I decided to go to the range.  Once we got to the range, we shot off a few rounds of arrows.

After about 10 minutes, James comes of with the idea of going to the family cottage so that we can shoot longer distances.  Let’s face it, 20 yards is fine, but the chances of a deer or other animal coming to the 20 yard mark is slim.  We needed to sight in our 30-50 yard pins on our bows. Broadheads – Carbon Express F-15 Dual Blade Broadhead

I remember when I first started archery. I wanted to hunt something.

A native friend of mine, Chris, was telling me all about broad head arrow tips.

He preferred a broad head with the blade that started at the tip, instead of a point.
